Jessica Howard, LPCC

Psychotherapist
OH
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for help is a powerful first step toward healing and change. I specialize in working with adults navigating depression, anxiety, maternal depression/postpartum, trauma, substance use, and relationship conflict. I also have extensive experience working with Veterans. I graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. I received my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University in 2010. I became independently licensed in 2015, and obtained my Supervisory status in 2016. Over the past 20 years, I have developed and fine tuned my clinical experience across multiple settings, including residential substance use treatment, outpatient therapy, dual diagnosis programs, as well as clinical research focused on first-time mothers with postpartum depression. For the last nine years, I have specialized in supporting veterans facing mental health and substance use challenges, particularly those involved in the criminal justice system. My approach is compassionate, direct, and tailored to your unique story. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Present-Centered Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strength at Home. I’m also trained in Moral Reconation Therapy, which supports clients seeking behavioral change and accountability. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to take your next step in personal growth, I provide a safe, respectful space to explore your goals and rediscover your strengths. Therapy with me is collaborative—we’ll work together to create meaningful, lasting change.
