What should a new client know about working with you?

I prefer to use therapy methods backed by scientific research, most often cognitive behavioral therapy. This method looks at the ways in which your thoughts affect your emotions and how working on changing those thoughts can change your emotional responses.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Much of my experience in mental health is in an inpatient, corrections setting. This means that I have experience in helping those dealing with the criminal justice system, personality disorders, mood disorders, and some psychotic disorders. Together, we will work on changing negative thought patterns that are affecting the way you interact with the world.
