Jessica Loper, CPCS, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
I have worked in the mental health field nearly 15 years and consider it a great honor to sit across from individuals and couples as they bravely display vulnerability and access motivation for healing. My experience has shown me that meeting people where they are and determining with them how to access healing is always the first step. I have taught undergraduate psychology, I have overseen outpatient and impatient programs as a director, and most importantly I have been able to work with veteran populations, those that have been sexually and physically abused, and many other individuals who met criteria for post-traumatic stress disorder that no longer do. Implementing internal family systems as well as EMDR/ART are my cornerstones for effective trauma work. For couples implementing the gottman method in addition to emotion focused therapy allows partners to connect on deep and meaningful levels and grow even through the most challenging hurdles. As a happily married woman at practice what I preach in this regard and it translates well when I sit with couples. Finally working with young adults experiencing quarter life crises or transitions is an absolute passion of mine. I create a safe space and ensure that young adults are able to unload internal and external pressures while helping them access strengths and resilience for moving forward. Additionally as a master addiction counselor I work with people hoping with process or substance use disorders, even disorder beauty to find other ways to regulate the emotions and honor their bodies.
