Getting to know Jessica Murphy

Hello! My name is Jessica Murphy, LMSW. I have experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, trauma, anger management, domestic violence, emotional disturbances and psychotic disorders. I am trained in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Crisis Intervention and Crisis Management, Suicide-Risk, Cognitive Processing and a wide range of other modalities. My treatment style is person-centered and utilizes various methods and skills. I enjoy working with clients ages 8 and up, individuals and families. I am also LGBTQAI+ affirming. My Approach I use a wide range of treatment modalities, mostly based in Solution-Focused and/or Strengths-Based Therapy. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Sexual Abuse Treatment and other modalities. I prefer to meet clients where they are and develop my treatment around an individual’s needs and desired outcome. My Focus I work with children, teenagers, adults, and families. I have provided treatment for anger management, sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and others. I am very comfortable dealing with all listed, including some lesser-known conditions. My Communication Style I will attempt to build a therapeutic relationship by asking open-ended questions, offering reassurances regarding HIPAA and providing a judgment-free setting where individuals and families can feel comfortable. I have been told that I am easy to talk too, empathetic, non-judgmental, affirming, and supportive.
