“Jessica has made a profound impact on my mental health. With compassion, insight, and a variety of approaches—particularly EMDR—she’s helped me work through birth trauma, generational trauma, and daily stressors. I came to therapy feeling overwhelmed and fragmented and finally at 35 years old I feel hopeful looking to the future. Her care, patience, and the safe validating space she provides have truly changed my life. I’m so grateful. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!”

Getting to know Jessica Pendergast

Hey, I'm Jess. Do you struggle with feeling disconnected? Is it difficult for you to manage your emotions and make sense of how you feel? Are you finding it hard to be kind to yourself? I help individuals manage their anxiety and depression as a result of their life experiences and trauma by finding ways to cope with distressing emotions and finding safety in their bodies and environment. Together, we can work towards understanding how your life experiences have impacted your behaviors and identify what survival skills no longer serve you. I prioritize building a trusting therapeutic relationship and providing you with compassionate, trauma-informed care that allows you to voice your experiences and symptoms. As your therapist, I will help you develop the skills you need to feel empowered while finding peace, self-compassion, and strength within yourself. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College. I am currently accepting clients for telehealth sessions where I provide CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness skills to assist clients with their healing journeys. I have 4 years of experience working with individuals battling addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other issues. I’m so proud of you for making an investment in yourself. Sometimes it can be difficult to prioritize our own wants and needs. Let's work together to help you create a life outside of survival mode and step into a life of compassion and peace.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After our initial session, we will begin treatment by identifying your goals while building strong rapport. I prioritize building a trusting therapeutic relationship in order to help you feel more comfortable and confident in speaking about your life experiences. With vulnerability often comes feelings of fear, guilt, and shame, all of which we will work through and process. My number one rule is my clients cannot talk negatively about themselves. Together, we will work on reducing your inner critic and replace it with healthy, empowering self-talk that gives you the ability to embrace self-compassion and self-acceptance.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
