“I have been seeing Jess for a bit over five years now and could not possibly recommend her services more highly. When I first started therapy with her I was in an entirely different place in life, struggling immensely with issues that had haunted me my entire life. In just a few years much of that has completely changed, much of it thanks to her. I don’t think that I ever could have imagined living as healthy, happy, and well adjusted of a life as I live today. Helping me get to that point in just a few years time is a testament to her skills as a professional and compassion as a human being. If you are considering starting therapy or moving to a new therapist to improve your therapy, do it. You won’t regret it. If you do, I highly suggest giving Jess a try.”

Getting to know Jessica Rose

OUT-OF-NETWORK PROVIDER - NEW YORK & CONNECTICUT My intention as a therapist is to bring compassion and non-judgment while helping you access internal resources, resilience, and strength. My practice philosophy is the culmination of academic study, professional experience, and lived understanding, which led me to specialize in integrative and intersectional therapy. In practice, I weave traditional psychodynamic and trauma-informed treatments with somatic and mindfulness-based approaches drawn from yoga, breathwork, and meditation. I work extensively with women navigating chronic and complex health conditions - including long-COVID, POTS, MCAS, dysautonomia, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders, gut-brain issues, hormone dysregulation (such as PCOS and endometriosis), and migraine or pain syndromes. Chronic illness affects both the body and the nervous system, often creating emotional fatigue, anxiety, and loss of trust in the body. Therapy supports regulation, pacing, and advocacy while you navigate ongoing medical care. I also specialize in psychiatric medication deprescribing support, trauma, and anxiety. My approach is collaborative and evidence-based, helping clients safely manage medication transitions with their prescribers while strengthening emotional and physiological regulation. My understanding of health goes beyond diagnostic criteria and considers the entire person: physiology, psychology, environment, and history. Our work will focus on identifying root causes of dysregulation and building sustainable tools for stability, clarity, and whole-health integration.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I deeply respect the human capacity to adapt and heal, grounded in a clear understanding of the nervous system — the foundation of our physical and emotional life. Our patterns of safety, connection, and regulation all begin here. As a somatic psychotherapist and women’s health advocate, my approach integrates trauma-informed psychotherapy, nervous-system regulation, and evidence-based somatic practices. I work with the body as an active participant in therapy, not just a backdrop for psychological experience. Formally trained in Western psychology, I’ve expanded my work beyond a strictly biomedical or colonial framework to include a more inclusive, justice-rooted lens. My perspective draws from contemporary neuroscience and selected insights from contemplative and Eastern traditions, applied in a way that is grounded, accessible, and clinically sound. This work is not about quick fixes. It’s about creating conditions where the body and mind can stabilize and reorganize over time — especially in the aftermath of trauma, chronic stress, or chronic illness. The goal is greater regulation, clarity, and agency, allowing you to move through life with a steadier footing and renewed capacity.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. Early sessions focus on understanding your history, health context, and current stress patterns, including how trauma, chronic illness, anxiety, or medication transitions may be impacting your nervous system and daily functioning. Together, we build a treatment plan that balances insight-oriented work with practical regulation tools. This may include nervous-system mapping, somatic awareness, breathwork, or mindfulness practices — always tailored to your needs and tolerance. I also draw from psychodynamic theory, attachment work, Internal Family Systems, and elements of contemplative practices, applied through an evidence-based, body-centered lens. Throughout our work, I emphasize autonomy and open feedback, encouraging you to play an active role in shaping the process. Therapy becomes a space to increase self-understanding, develop resilience, and strengthen your capacity for regulation and advocacy both internally and within medical or relational systems. My goal is for you to feel grounded, informed, and better equipped to navigate complexity - whether it’s a flare, a relationship pattern, or a major life transition.

In-network insurances

Jessica Rose, LMHC is not in-network with any insurances

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $285 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $150-285 for 60 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

More information on payments and coverage

I work with clients insured by many insurance companies on an out-of-network basis. Sessions may be covered by your insurance as out-of-network medical care— many times up to 90% of the cost is reimbursed. This means that most insurance plans allowing members to go out-of-network for mental health services will reimburse you for our work, according to the payments they allow. To learn about your specific coverage, you can call your insurance provider and ask the following: 1. What is my deductible? 2. Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health (specifically for CPT Code: 90834)? 3. What is my coinsurance/ what percentage of my bill will be covered after my deductible is met? 4. How do I submit a superbill? Once you have determined that you have out-of-network benefits you can let us know when you begin sessions. You will be responsible for paying the cost of the session upfront and then we will provide you with a superbill at the end of each month for you to send to your insurance for direct reimbursement.

I reacently started working with Ms. Rose and I am astonished how much we have achieved in such a short period of time. She really provides you with the full experience and attention, that most therapists don’t have the energy to give. I would most definitely recommend Ms. Rose to my friends and family members in need. I look forward to working on my problems further with her.
I have seen Jessica for multiple sessions in the past. She has a direct approach to extracting information but her ability to find ways for me to gain new perspectives were amazing. I found myself at ease and able to dive into far deeper territory with her than I originally anticipated.
Jessica is an incredible listener and let’s you get out everything that is on your mind before she interjects with her thoughts. Her counsel is not only sound but extremely thoughtful as well. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a kind, caring person to help them get through anything that is on their mind.
Jessica is an incredibly talented, smart, experienced and gifted professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking a skilled therapist who has the perfect blend of empathy, communication skills, intelligence and experience to provide the high level of service a client deserves and should demand. In a city with so many options - Jessica really stands out as the best of the best. She has created a practice that provides supportive structure, “no-nonsense” advice and the kind accessibility a busy professional like me needs in a mental health provider. Highly recommend.
