Jessica Vann, LPC

Psychotherapist
SC
My approach to therapy is client-centered. I help high-achieving Black mothers break free from burnout, mom guilt, and perfectionism so they can reclaim their identity, prioritize self-care, and embrace pleasure—without apology. Through my TRASH Approach, coaching, and workshops, I show them how to redefine motherhood on their terms and live fully for themselves. I use a client-centered approach, solution-focused therapy, internal family systems, and sex therapy. I typically work with women between 20-55 who are navigating parenting and identity issues, and I am comfortable addressing a range of conditions. I create a warm, affirming, and judgment-free space where clients feel safe to be vulnerable while also being challenged to grow. My approach balances deep conversation, humor, and practical strategies, helping clients gain clarity, confidence, and self-trust. Working with me feels like being supported and empowered—held accountable with love while honoring your unique journey. My journey to mental healthcare began with overcoming my own hardships, which inspired me to help others know they can do the same. It is a joy and honor to support individuals through some of their toughest moments. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Walden University. I ask clients directly about their goals and collaborate with them to create a plan to work toward those goals. In our first session, you can expect to have fun in healing and in creating the person you want to be on the other side of trauma. You should also expect openness, honesty, and authenticity. License number 7629.
