Getting to know Jessica Williams
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and the DBT Group Coordinator at PM Mental Health. I believe therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all process, and I deeply value collaboration and the unique life experiences each person brings to therapy. I have experience supporting people of all ages through struggles with depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and bereavement.
In my work, I use a strengths-based approach to help establish effective skills and make the most of our time together during therapy sessions. I am a certified DBT provider and regularly facilitate virtual DBT Skills Groups for teens and adults. I’m passionate about creating a supportive space and sharing knowledge about how helpful DBT Skills can be.
What should a new client know about working with you?
The DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills Groups that I lead teach practical skills to help better handle difficult situations and emotions, manage triggers and stress more effectively, and establish interpersonal skills needed to develop engaging, positive relationships. This evidence-based multi-week virtual program is suited for teens and adults (up to age 32) with behavior and/or mood disorders.
Our groups offer a safe, supportive space where our clients can connect, learn, and grow alongside peers who understand what they’re going through (participants are divided into groups based on age).
What is your typical process for working with clients?
If interested in exploring whether our DBT Skills Group is the right fit for you (or other ongoing mental health services that we offer), schedule an initial assessment visit (intake) through Zocdoc. Enrollment is open for our next groups – suited for ages 13-17, 18-23, and 24-32
After you book an appointment, a care coordinator will reach out to review your method of payment and/or insurance number and answer any initial questions you may have before our first visit.
