Jessica Wilson, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Jessica! My name is Jessie Wilson. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been working with teens, adults, and families facing diverse issues since 2009. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from National University. I spent 15 years working with children and foster parents. One thing I like to remind people is that therapy does not have to take an extensive amount of time to see results and gain emotional clarity. My approach I am open to applying the technique needed on an individual basis, but generally, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy are the modalities I utilize. My focus I work with all types of clients. Those who want to do the work and are open to honest communication do the best with me. I love creating a space where people feel free to communicate openly. I have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, ADHD, and PTSD. My services also include working with presurgical bariatric surgery patients and individuals with ADHD. My communication style I am a direct, open, and honest communicator. Beating around the bush does nothing, so I go straight to the point. I work hard to cultivate a relationship so each person feels safe to be open. I love when people show up as who they are and don’t feel the need to be someone else. Emotional pain can lead to long-term issues for mind and body alike, and I create a comfortable space for you to discuss concerns while educating you on practical solutions for daily life. My journey to mental healthcare Originally, I was going to be a horse vet but took a psychology class and fell in love with it. I switched majors and have been helping people ever since. I love building people up and helping them see how amazing they truly are. Rebuilding self-esteem and worth is truly a superpower. Bringing positivity into our negative world is why I do this work.
