Getting to know Jessika Garcia

It has been my experience that all people need some support at times with understanding themselves and their relationships better. Most people interact with all types of relationships throughout the day. How we manage, interpret, and reflect about these experiences with ourselves and the one's closest to us matters. It is an important step towards understanding ourselves when we can gain insight on how we affect others and how others affect us in our daily lives. How we see ourselves and the meaning we make of our experiences can support a deeper knowing of oneself. I can support and guide you through processes/experiences that have you both feeling stuck, angry, dissatisfied, fearful, worried, depressed, anxious, or indifferent. I offer a variety of forms of counseling-Narrative, Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based, and Feminist Theory. If you are in need of support and believe that counseling can support you right now with your questions/needs about life, relationships, experiences and your general wellbeing, I am here to help! I have been working with individuals, couples, and children throughout the last seven years. I appreciate everyone’s perspective and use my skills to support you understanding what makes sense to you or your family system by exploring behavior, barriers, choices, beliefs, and hopes. I am a clinical social worker and I earned my MSW in 2017 and my BSW in 2015. I have always loved listening, which brought me to this field. It can be difficult to reach out for help and I understand how hard this first step can be. I look forward to seeing if we are a good fit and if I can support you on your journey of discovery and wellbeing.
