What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make the process feel comfortable, supportive, and collaborative from the very beginning. I believe that every person deserves a space where they feel heard without judgment and supported through life’s challenges at a pace that feels right for them. My therapy style is warm, approachable, and person-centered. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and creating an environment where clients can openly discuss thoughts, emotions, relationships, stressors, and goals. I aim to meet clients where they are while helping them identify strengths and develop practical tools that support long-term growth. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Sessions may include exploring patterns of thinking, improving emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, enhancing communication, processing difficult experiences, and creating realistic strategies for change. Therapy with me is not about having all the answers—it is about working together to better understand challenges and create meaningful progress. I have experience supporting individuals and families through concerns including anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem difficulties, life transitions, family dynamics, behavioral concerns, and personal growth. You can expect sessions with me to feel conversational, supportive, and goal-oriented while still allowing space for reflection and self-discovery. My hope is that clients leave feeling understood, empowered, and with tools they can apply outside of session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to make therapy feel approachable, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. During our first session, we will spend time getting to know you beyond symptoms alone. I’ll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, important life experiences, relationships, strengths, goals, and what you hope to gain from treatment. Together, we’ll identify priorities and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. From there, sessions are individualized and move at a pace that feels comfortable. I use a person-centered and evidence-based approach, meaning treatment is adapted to your unique experiences rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. Depending on your goals, sessions may focus on understanding emotional patterns, improving coping skills, strengthening communication, processing difficult experiences, building self-confidence, developing healthier relationships, or learning practical tools to manage stress and emotions. I believe therapy works best as a partnership. I value open communication and encourage feedback throughout treatment so we can adjust our work together based on what feels most helpful to you. Some sessions may feel reflective and exploratory, while others may be more structured and focused on skill-building or problem-solving. I have experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families through concerns including anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, behavioral concerns, self-esteem challenges, and family or relationship difficulties. My hope is that clients leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and equipped with tools they can apply in everyday life while making steady progress toward their goals.
