Getting to know Jewel Butler

I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, licensed in both NC & SC, with over 18 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. I hold a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology, with a focus on Marriage & Family Therapy, from the University of San Francisco. My work centers around supporting children, teens, and adults dealing with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, family and relationship dynamics, life transitions, stress, anger, and adjustment difficulties. I specialize in creating a safe and encouraging space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. My therapeutic style is warm and collaborative—I aim to be both gentle and direct, supportive yet challenging, and I’m not afraid to use humor when it helps us move forward. I see therapy as a partnership built on openness and honesty. While my clients are the experts in their own lives, my role is to help guide the process, offering insight, tools, and strategies to help them thrive.
