*The practice will call to verify your insurance. Please check deductible prior to booking to help ensure you are comfortable with costs of service. * Hola! I’m glad you found me. My name is Jeymarie Guerra. I am a bilingual Spanish and English licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida, TF-CBT Certified Therapist, ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider and a play therapist in training. I am also the owner of Supportive Engagement. I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University. I am here to support you as a whole. I enjoy working with children as young as 3-years-olds, pre-teens, and adolescents, and young adults to learn to self-regulate, and express themselves, gain courage and feel capable of mastering the world without hesitation. Every parent wants the best for their children and it can be heartbreaking when a child feels discouraged, uninspired, and unsure of themselves. I encourage parents and clients to actively participate in sessions, whether it’s directly or non-directly, to get the best results. For my young adults, we actively work together to adjust to this new phase in life and new challenges that elicit strong emotions. For my trauma survivors, no matter how old, we work together in a calm, safe environment. I use Trauma Focused CBT, to help clients gain mental and emotional freedom from their untold story. My specialties are Trauma Focused CBT, ADHD, Autism, Play Therapy, Person-Center Therapy. I offer a 15-minute free consultation in Spanish and English to determine if we would be a good fit for each other.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use Headway to verify your insurance plan. At the end of your session, headway will charge your copay amount. I will be providing you with a welcome email directly from Headway upon scheduling a session. Likewise, I use Therapy Notes as part of my EHR, meaning I will be sending you a welcome email from Therapy Notes as well, in order for you to sign all consent forms and intake information.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Prior to the session, I ask that you complete and sign all of our consent forms and intake paperwork through the Therapy portal. I will be sending you a welcome email upon scheduling a session through our Therapy portal. For those with insurance, in addition to signing your consent forms through the therapy portal, you will be entering your insurance information through the Headway portal. I will be sending you a welcome email upon scheduling a session through Headway. The total process should take you 10-15 minutes. During the first session, I will be gathering information about who you are, what brings you here today, and how I can be of assistance. The more information provided to me, the more clarity I have on how to best assist you. The second session is where we discuss and create a plan of action on how our sessions will be focused on and what this would look like based on the first session. Any session after this will be based on working to improve the presenting problem (which brought you to see me).
