Getting to know Jilian Levinson
Hi, I’m Jilian. For the past 13 years, I’ve had the honor of supporting individuals and families facing the complexities of cancer and chronic illness in a large urban hospital in NYC. This work has deeply shaped who I am as a therapist—grounded, compassionate, and attuned to the courage it takes to live with uncertainty, pain, and loss. I specialize in working with those navigating chronic illness, as well as the anxiety, depression, isolation, and grief that often come with it. I have a special focus in women’s health, helping clients explore how physical health, identity, and emotional well-being intersect throughout one's life.
In addition to individual therapy, I provide couples therapy and deeply value supporting partners as they face life’s challenges together. While illness can intensify relationship dynamics, even couples not facing health crises encounter challenges—be it communication breakdowns, life transitions, or unmet expectations.
My style is warm, collaborative, direct and deeply human. I take a strength-based approach, drawing from mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques, and I believe healing happens when we feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I offer a space where we can explore what’s hard, uncover resilience, and create meaningful steps forward together.
