Psychotherapist
IL
Seeking out therapy is a big first step for anyone. I look forward to helping my clients explore emotions and thoughts related to anxiety, depression, relationships, and any sort of life change. We all have strengths, and I am here to help my clients find theirs. My approach I approach my clients with compassion and understanding as they share their concerns. I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, but also make them practical and not overcomplicated. My focus Areas I am interested in treating include anxiety, depression, grief, relationship and any sort of life adjustment. Whether you are just starting out into adulthood or have a lot of life experience, I enjoy helping you identify and meet your goals. My communication style It is important to me that my clients feel heard and understood, as well as can clearly absorb the feedback and coping skills ideas I am providing. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been curious about people's life experiences, especially those who have shown such great resilience during tough times. Being a therapist has allowed me to work with clients to provide them with those skills for success and empowerment. It has also allowed me to learn and grow. My goals for you My goal is to empower clients to live meaningful and fulfilling life. It is important to me that your desired goals for therapy are well understood and that we work together to achieve those goals. My first session with you The first session is really just a conversation about what brings you here, your concerns, and ideas for goals in therapy. I want this time to feel as comfortable as possible. It is also during this time that I can gauge what skills you would benefit from and the pace you wish the sessions to proceed.
