Getting to know Jillian Giornelli

Jill Giornelli, LMSW works collaboratively with adolescents and adults with a wide range of concerns. She integrates a range of evidence-based treatment approaches to find the fit that works best for each person and their unique needs. She particularly enjoys working with those struggling with disordered eating and body image concerns using a Health At Every Size approach. In graduate school, Jill worked with youth and families as a middle school social worker and then completed her clinical internship in the partial hospitalization program at Mount Sinai Hospital. There she treated adults with acute mental health concerns including mood dysregulation, anxiety, depression, suicidality, and self-injury. Prior to graduate school, Jill worked as a college counselor with high school students. Jill holds a master’s degree in social work from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College. She has also completed post-graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E).
