My name is Joanna, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with a background in social work. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and also received education at UCLA. I approach and work with you in a relaxed manner. I am a Peruvian therapist who grew up in Cudahy, grateful to provide services to my Spanish-speaking community. My work is rooted in mental health, personal growth, radical self-care, and self-esteem. I advocate, motivate, and educate on innovative healing to achieve a wholesome life. Over the last 12 years, I’ve held multiple roles within therapy. I’ve worked in schools, foster care, adoptions, military bases, hospitals, non-profits, private practices, community clinics, family resource centers, inpatient and outpatient programs, and the substance abuse field. This has allowed me to work with folks from all walks of life. I tailor treatment to each individual and offer a safe environment where I listen without judgment, motivate, and engage you.
