Getting to know Jocelyn Jarman

You've been holding it together for everyone else. Or maybe you're here for your child — the one whose worries or big behaviors have you searching for answers at midnight. Either way, you're in the right place. I help children, teens, and women move from surviving to thriving. Kids and teens get therapy that actually makes sense to them — play, creativity, and connection to work through anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and grief. And parents are never left guessing; you'll know what we're working on and how to support it at home. For women, I hold space for what you've been expected to carry quietly: infertility, pregnancy loss, and major life transitions. These deserve real clinical attention — and you deserve to feel deeply heard, not rushed. Mental health isn't a luxury. It's a foundation. Whether you're seeking healing for yourself or hope for your child, I'd be honored to walk alongside you. Licensed Master Social Worker practicing under Board-approved clinical supervision. Clinical Supervisor: Lindsey Reynoso, LCSW.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Before I was a therapist, I was a teacher. That's where I learned something no textbook could teach me: people don't get stuck because something is wrong with them. They get stuck because no one has helped them see what's already strong in them. That belief deepened during my years supporting children in foster care — kids carrying some of the heaviest experiences a young person can hold, who still showed up with resilience, humor, and hope. They taught me that strength doesn't disappear in hard seasons. It just gets buried. My job is to help you find it again. I specialize in childhood trauma, grief, attachment wounds, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and complex family dynamics. And because no two people heal the same way, I don't do one-size-fits-all therapy. I draw from play therapy, sand tray, brainspotting, DBT, CBT, art therapy, and mindfulness — tailoring our work to what actually fits you, or your child. What you can expect from me: a space that's safe and honest, a therapist who meets you exactly where you are, and work that builds from your strengths toward change that lasts. You don't have to have it figured out to start. You just have to start.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Getting started is simpler than you might think. It begins with a brief, no-pressure consultation — just a conversation to see if we're a good fit. No forms to fill out beforehand, nothing to prepare. From there, your first sessions are about getting to know you: what's brought you here, what you're hoping for, and what feels hard right now. There's no agenda, just an open dialogue. Once we have a clear picture, therapy takes shape around you. For children, that often means play-based approaches that feel natural and age-appropriate. For teens and adults, it looks more like honest, insight-focused conversation — always at your pace, always on your terms. As you grow and things shift, the work shifts with you. And when you're ready to wrap up, we'll do that thoughtfully too — making sure you feel steady, confident, and equipped for what comes nex
