Getting to know Jocelyn Jones
I have over 16 years of experience working in the mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse fields. I hold a Doctorate in Professional Counseling with a concentration on trauma, grief, and loss. Additionally, I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology, along with a Master of Arts degree with a Theology concentration. I am licensed as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor). My certifications include Spiritual Direction and Certified Anger Management Specialist II (CAMS II).
I work with adolescents, adults, and the geriatric community. My counseling specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, spirituality, bereavement, grief and loss, isolation, loneliness, career counseling, alcohol/drug abuse, mood disorders, personality disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, anger management, motivational interviewing, low self-esteem, self-confidence, assertiveness, life changes, financial/budgeting, effective communication skills, coping skills, decision-making, problem-solving, and both individual and group counseling. I also provide counseling and education related to HIV/AIDS, STD/STI, and physical/medical issues.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
