Jodi Armstrong, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Jodi. Do you often feel overwhelmed, stressed out, increasingly angry, depressed, or anxious? Whether this is triggered by present events or past, there is help here. As a therapist, I have created a space that fosters safety, care, and respect with client-centered therapy as the focus. While meeting you where you are and with collaborative goal setting, I hope to help guide you toward recognizing and building on your own strengths. Coming here would allow you to explore different perspectives and strategies to create new outcomes while reaching your goals. My theory of practice is eclectic in nature and consists of the following research-based modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Grief Work, as well as Attachment Theory while influenced by Growth Mindset. As a mental health professional, I have been given an abundance of opportunities to meet and work with many of our diverse communities across the state of Texas. I have always known I wanted to help others. While growing up, I experienced several losses and noticed there was no guidance or awareness of how families or individuals navigated the grieving process. Through my education, training, and experience, I have learned that loss and grieving affect many areas of our lives. There are many things we lose that are connected to grieving. My passion and focus are in helping individuals safely discover vulnerability, identify their emotional needs, learn how to communicate assertively while watching them find their voice to overcome adversity, and helping people learn to move from surviving to thriving. If you find yourself in need of support and guidance in the healing process or need help learning how to manage stress, I encourage you to reach out to schedule an appointment. Let's see if we would be a good match in taking that step to better days.
