Getting to know Jodi Hyde

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected in your relationship? Do you struggle with communication, trust, or connection, leaving you feeling hurt, frustrated, and isolated? Through Couples Counseling and Trauma/EMDR therapy, the pain and fear you're feeling right now can transform into resilience, connection, and empowerment. My passion is to bring hope and healing to each client or couple through a non-judgmental, empathic approach with sensitivity and care. I strive to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly and honestly. I hold a Master's in Counseling from Northern Arizona University and am trained in EMDR, an evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. I am also trained in EFT, which helps couples build secure attachments, rely on each other in times of need, and have vulnerable conversations. Additionally, I am trained in CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. I want to empower you to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience and confidence. My goal is to make you feel heard and validated, allowing you to share even your most vulnerable moments without fear of judgment. My experience includes working with individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and grief/loss. I am a member of the American Counselors Association and the Association for Mormon Counselors and Psychotherapists.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Seeking counseling isn’t just about addressing your challenges; it’s about investing in your well-being and unlocking your full potential. I have an understanding of human behavior and psychology and use evidence-based practices to help gain insight into self, explore new perspectives and develop healthier coping strategies. I want to empower you to navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Taking the first step towards therapy can be daunting, but it’s also an incredibly courageous decision. You are not alone in this journey. With the support of a compassionate therapist, you can find hope, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose. I want to help you feel empowered in your emotions, overcome obstacles, break free from negative patterns, and create positive change in your life. Together, we can work through pain and uncertainty of past experiences, and untangle the knots of trauma or reltionship distress to find your path to healing and connection.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $150 for 50 minutes
Ongoing session: $150 for 50 minutes

More information on payments and coverage

My therapy sessions are priced at $150 per session. This fee includes a comprehensive assessment, personalized treatment planning, and individualized therapy sessions tailored to your needs. By choosing not to contract with insurances and operating independently, I can focus on providing personalized, client-centered therapy without being restricted by insurance requirements or limitations on session length or treatment modalities. Additionally, as an out-of-network provider, I can provide you with a superbill that includes all the necessary information for you to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company at the out-of-network rate. This gives you the option to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for therapy services while still providing you with greater freedom and control over your treatment journey. This allows you to access the care you need while maximizing your insurance benefits.
