Getting to know Jodi Wattel

Jodi Wattel (she/her/hers) is a licensed (LCAT) and board-certified (ATR-BC) creative arts therapist in New York. She earned her Master's in Clinical Art Therapy from Long Island University and has been practicing for over 13 years. For the past 11 years, she founded and supervised the art therapy program at a private school for autism on Long Island, working with students ranging in age from 3 to 21. Jodi has also served on the executive board of the New York Art Therapy Association (NYATA), holding roles as both president-elect and president. In addition, she enjoys presenting professional trainings for therapists and providing support for caregivers and families. Jodi uses a combination of holistic and mindful practices to assist her clients with issues such as caregiver burnout, chronic illness, anxiety and depression, mental illness, perinatal and postnatal mental health, and pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs).
