John Baker, LMFT

John Baker, LMFT

Psychotherapist
300 Harding Blvd, Ste 108, Roseville, CA
I’m John Baker, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, specializing in trauma, relationships, and high-stress life transitions, including related issues such as anxiety, depression, and grief. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades in military service, federal law enforcement, and corporate investigations, experiences that shaped my direct, grounded, and accountability-focused approach to therapy. I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship conflict, and the long-term impact of high-responsibility roles, including first responders, veterans, and professionals. My work integrates evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities such as CBT, Brainspotting, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), somatic approaches, and structured couples work. Clients often describe me as calm, practical, and attuned—someone who understands both the psychological and real-world pressures they face. My goal is to help you move from surviving to functioning with greater clarity, emotional regulation, and connection, while respecting your pace and strengths.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
