Getting to know John Betancourt

Are you struggling or confused? Does the rapid pace of change in the world leave you wondering how you will keep up? Do you feel inadequate, isolated, addicted, or like you’re not living up to your full potential? I don’t have all the answers, and no one does. What I do have is 15 years of experience supporting change. I’m compassionate and honest, and along with your desire for change, I can hold up a mirror from a different perspective to help adjust your trajectory. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston, University Park, which has equipped me with the skills to guide you through this journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

We will begin with pairing with each other and establishing rapport and then some psychoeducation and some learning for you to explore some basic concepts of theories and then we identify goals and objectives to work on together. You will be armed with some great tools and understanding how the mind and body are connected and finally, you will have a detailed guide for the challenges you will face in the future.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
