Hi there, I'm John! Every improvement includes change, and learning new skills to navigate this process takes courage, so congratulations on your decision. I believe the relationship we forge in therapy allows us to co-create unique strategies using your strengths to reveal creative interventions for your path. Whenever you're ready, let's take the next step towards a healthier version of you. My approach I use a variety of systemic therapies to help you see how the paradoxical nature of life's patterns allows all behavior to make sense in context. Narrative therapy will enable us to restory your experiences. Strategic therapy will broaden your horizons to allow many things to be true at the same time, and solution-focused therapy will empower you to realize the solutions are already within you, waiting to be cultivated, so you can take back your power. My focus If you've felt stuck or trapped by your thoughts, held hostage by addictive patterns, or feel you can't trust yourself or the world due to traumatic experiences, I can show you how to forgive yourself, love yourself, and learn to trust again. Together, we can form a plan to reach your goals and get back to living your life again, feeling empowered to not just survive, but switch your brain back to thrive mode. My communication style I believe in being direct, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and offering a safe, secure space for you to express any and all beliefs, thoughts, ideas, feelings, and emotions. We will build trust by sharing stories. When narrative therapy is done well, an observer would find it difficult to determine who is the therapist and who is the client, as it would appear to be two people having a conversation. My journey to mental healthcare I took a long journey to get to the therapy rooms. I started my career working internationally within the energy sector, and this gave me a broad, multicultural perspective on how similar we all are around the world.
