John Casey, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
As an experienced licensed professional with a Master's in Social Work from California State University Long Beach, I believe that growth and development require commitment through openness and consistency. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anger, depression, anxiety, family issues, and conflicts at home and in the workplace. Together, we will navigate this process in a non-judgmental environment with ample support. While we cannot change the past, we can learn from it and make thoughtful, positive decisions that shape our future. I also focus on helping individuals recognize and understand culturally sensitive issues that arise in daily life. Often, our intentions are good, but we need to be more mindful of what we say, who we are addressing, and the environment we are in. My approach is holistic because I understand that good physical health influences mental health. So, bring all your questions, and let's do some meaningful work together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is transparent and I encourage your communication. Whatever is on your mind, please share it with me, as it could help you throughout your process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

There is a short intake process prior to us working together. I will send you intake paperwork forms and consent forms that are completed before your first appointment. The first session or two are used to discuss any concerns and then a diagnostic assessment is completed. At this point, I will carefully explain my findings with you and we will work on a course of action moving forward.
