Everyone needs a little help now and then, and I'm here to help! Whether your challenges are big or small, situational or chronic, simple or complex, extraordinary or ordinary, let's work on them together. With compassion and integrity, I will help you identify opportunities, solutions, and help you discover the choices that work best for you. My approach I'm not a cookie-cutter, hand out some skill-sheets and call it a session kind of therapist. Skills and strategies are important; finding meaning in experiences/history and the root causes of difficulties are more important. Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Gottman method (with couples), attachment, and trauma therapy are the basis of my practice. My focus If you are struggling, needing a change, or simply interested in expanding your capabilities and horizons, I am here for you. Together, we will explore, challenge, and consider whatever needs attention and focus. From learning new skills and techniques, taking deep dives into the past, or forward-directed, solution-focused strategies, let's do this! My communication style I am direct, honest, and unafraid of difficult conversations. I teach communication strategies, skills, and the connection between how we communicate and how we feel. Communication is the basis for all relationships and is intimately connected to mental health and well-being. I use Non-Violent Communication and Gottman approaches.
