Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi there, I'm John! I have extensive training in helping adults who struggle with behavioral addictions, betrayal trauma, and attachment wounds. I am a CSAT that specialize in sex/porn addiction. I have extensive life experience as well as clinical training in the area of my expertise. My greatest joy is watching individuals recover from once debilitating behaviors. My focus Our lives in ways often not understand until we have traveled that path. I work with adults that are willing to examine and choose a healthy lifestyle through examining old behaviors and implementing new ones. My approach I use CBT, as well as ART for trauma, and have been fortunate and blessed to be in a position to offer help and support to those who struggle with life’s challenges. I have a passion for this work that stems from my own personal experiences, and watching clients create balance in their lives, heal, and flourish. My communication style I have an active clear, open, honest communication style that creates a supportive, and non-judgmental environment. My journey to mental healthcare I had an amazing therapist who helped me learn how to manage my out of control life. She gave me tools and showed me how a healthy lifestyle was supposed to be lived, so mid life I determined that this was exactly what I needed to be doing. I have developed a passion for this work through my own recovery journey. My goals for you I see therapy as a journey, one in which I will walk with you for a time and share all the information and knowledge I have learned on my own journey. I will help you set and achieve goals through setting up personal routines that will create balance and give you the life you have wanted. Our first session Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what you want from therapy. I will explain the process and briefly share my own story if wanted. I will give some tools and help you set up some achievable goals.
