My name is John Nathan Anderson, but most people call me Nathan. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Kentucky. I've been serving clients for the past seven years. My education includes earning my bachelor's degree from Lindsey Wilson College in 2013 and my MEd in Professional Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in 2015. I started my counseling career working for Mountain Comprehensive Care Center, providing school-based mental health services to high school students in eastern Kentucky. In November 2014, I accepted a position at Westcare Kentucky as a Life Skills counselor. This role involved providing substance abuse prevention education to area high school students. In June 2015, I worked as a substance abuse counselor at Selfrefind, where I provided group and individual counseling to clients struggling with substance abuse addiction. Recognizing the need for substance abuse services in my area, I opened a substance abuse counseling clinic in 2017, Essential Solutions, Inc., which is still in operation today. In November 2021, I opened a private behavioral health practice, Anderson Counseling, which has given me the opportunity to serve you. I work with a variety of mental health issues, but I specialize in addiction, anxiety, grief, and depression, just to name a few. Feel free to reach out to me for help with your mental health concerns. My goal is to help you be a better you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services.
