Getting to know John Wise

Life happens. And there’s no shame in asking for help. I'm John Wise and I have worked as a professional counselor for more than 25 years. I have worked in numerous settings including psychiatry offices, family court, schools, homes and jails. I have assisted individuals and families to improve relationships, parenting skills, and to manage anxiety, depression, grief, traumatizing events and other mental health issues. My goal as your counselor is to develop a working alliance with you to that you can use for your own personal growth, as well as provide you with tools and strategies to better cope with and maybe even resolve problems when the hard times come. Together we'll begin working to identify what may be holding you back or keeping you down. You will gain a better understanding of why you feel the way you do and you'll be empowered with the knowledge that realistic and lasting personal change is possible.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
