I hope that the ideal client will have trust in me, enabling me to be most effective in my role. This trust can mean less disappointment and frustration, but also allows the client to be willing to do their part in the process and journey. It is my experience that my clients know themselves better than anyone. They are their own and my best resource when it comes to treatment. I see therapy as a joint venture where our knowledge and skills combine to create solutions by building trust through authenticity, freedom, and positive regard. Therapy is different for everyone. What we do is unique to you and defined by your goals and needs. Sometimes we look to the past, family systems, and origins; other times we stay in the here and now. Therapy can involve skill-building, developing insight, sitting with feelings, or supporting change. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Caldwell University, a Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University, and an Associate’s degree from Raritan Valley Community College. These educational experiences have shaped my approach and deepened my commitment to collaborative, client-centered care.
