My focus As a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s in Counseling from Missouri Baptist University, I have worked in individual practice for five years. I primarily support clients experiencing depression, eating disorders, and PTSD. I have experience working with families and individuals who have faced trauma and navigated neurodiversity while making life choices. My communication style My counseling style is laid-back. I am often described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. I focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize them to overcome obstacles. I’m here to help you sort through difficult issues and offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to be open and honest. My journey to mental healthcare I began my career as a social worker, child care advocate, and homeless/domestic violence director. While I valued working with diverse populations, I realized that teaching skills related to self-esteem, trauma, and life goals would empower clients to advocate for themselves with confidence. My goals for you Together, we will set goals and work toward them at your own pace. We will discuss your current struggles and develop attainable, measurable steps toward success. My first session with you Our first session is a “get to know you” meeting designed to begin the therapeutic process in a safe, relaxed environment while building trust.
