Getting to know Joline Morgan
Hello, I'm Joline. Today, life can be challenging to navigate. Daily events, work uncertainties, and family obligations can affect our work-life balance and significantly impact our well-being and focus. It can seem impossible to deal with these life stressors and escape their overwhelming feelings, especially if we lack the proper tools to work through them. I can help guide your mental health journey, and together we can learn how to manage the challenges life throws at you.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Arts degree, I have worked in individual practice for five years. My primary focus is on clients experiencing ADHD, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anxiety, children's mental/behavioral health, developmental disabilities, family relationships, grief/bereavement, military/veteran support, PTSD, spirituality, and trauma. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions.
Before my individual practice, I worked with the homeless at Boys and Girls Town (Great Circle), a residential care facility for children with extreme behaviors, and with families for reunification and domestic violence shelters. These experiences have shaped my understanding and approach to therapy, allowing me to work effectively with families and individuals who have experienced trauma and struggled to navigate neurodiversity and understand life choices.
I focus on working with individuals using a psychodynamic therapeutic lens to build attachments and overcome trauma. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help my clients think about the issues they're facing from a different perspective while utilizing tools and skills to capture disruptive thoughts. By changing your thoughts, addressing past trauma and fear, and learning new skills, you can feel empowered to make changes in your life. I will always work towards developing a trusting therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard. Together, we can break down the seemingly insurmountable barriers you feel in your life and help you find that work-life balance for family-focused/individual growth.
