Jon has been a licensed therapist for 14 years and focuses on the strengths a person has and the skills they need to develop in order to become whole again and move forward in life with a sense of peace and purpose. He has been working with individual clients, troubled youth, and their families to heal and build stronger relationships for the past 19 years. Jon believes it is important to identify what the problem is, and that it's just as critical to understand how the problem was created. This is the first step to making therapy successful. Jon earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. He has practiced as a therapist, research director, and outdoor behavioral health director in various settings. Jon has worked in both juvenile and adult corrections systems, community mental health centers, private residential treatment centers for adolescents, and private practice. He has experience with a range of mental health conditions, including addictions, trauma, emotional, mood, and behavioral issues. Jon spends his free time with his wife and kids hunting, fishing, and keeping alive some of the lost arts of primitive skills and practices.
