I’m a native Texan and received my license as a Professional Counselor in 1988, as well as the National Certified Counselor credential. My career has been a mix of teaching Psychology and Counseling and providing counseling in various settings, including hospitals, agencies, schools, and religious environments. My PhD is from Texas Woman’s University—and yes, they do allow men as students. I also hold a Master's degree in Religious Education and a Master's degree in Buddhist Counseling.

Hi, my name is Jon Reid. If you're ready to make desired changes in your life or figure out what is holding you back, I'm happy to accompany you on the journey. I’m a native Texan and received my license as a Professional Counselor in 1988, as well as the National Certified Counselor credential. What should a new client know about working with you?

I've been described as a kind and compassionate therapist. I have extensive experience with grief and bereavement, as well as spirituality, religious abuse, sexuality, depression, anxiety, and especially what are known as Adjustment Disorders which is when people are struggling to cope with changes in their life. With a Master's degree in Buddhist Counseling, I am able to include mindfulness practice as desired.
