Getting to know Jonathan Bach

Hello and welcome! Congratulations on taking your first step toward wellness and recovery! It is a firm value of mine that, while at times challenging, seeking help is a sign of personal growth and strength and a commitment to one's own wellness and survival. As the saying goes: You only get one body and one mind. You must take care of them both. I look forward to taking you on a cognitive journey where we will explore new perspectives on life, needs, and overall wellness and recovery. My approach I use a variety of techniques including CBT, Solution Focused, Psychoanalytic, Humanistic, and Family Systems. I am nationally accredited as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I hold a Master's degree in Psychology from Phillips Graduate University. My focus To help my clients find their inner peace, develop coping skills for inter/intrapersonal struggles, and gain insight and focus to possess healthy cognitions and lifestyle choices. My communication style I am empathetic, calm, direct when needed, psycho-educational, and overall interactive with clients. I find the more mutual interaction there is, the more learning one receives. My journey to therapy I became interested in therapy after my own experience as a child. I have always marveled at the ability to help others heal themselves by helping them use the strengths they already possess! My goals for you I am a firm believer that successful care comes from an engaged therapist as well as an engaged patient. When these combine, the possibilities of progress expand exponentially. My first session with you I always begin by exploring your reasons for seeking therapy and your desired outcomes. I conduct a detailed assessment that focuses on multiple domains of life-background, relationships past and present. From there, we will mutually decide the best course of treatment for you.
