Greetings! My name is Jon, and I am an LCSW in the states of Utah and Idaho! I started my solo practice in November 2025! My passion is helping the LGBTQIA+ community of Utah and Idaho! I have lived experience growing up in the West as a queer person. So even though "I get it," I know your story is individual and nuanced, and so should your treatment! I'm here to help you harness your inner strength and wisdom so you can live your best life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I try to approach things with a strengths-based lens and see you as the hero. My communication style is humorous, sometimes adding a light-hearted spin to a heavy problem. That being said, I am real and genuine, empathetic and kind! But I can also call you on your... villain era ... The frameworks I pull from are: CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, psychodynamic, and parts work. I also do integration sessions. )'( *Disclaimer: I can be A LOT! I'm goofy, crass, eccentric, and my jokes flop sometimes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is to take something that happened in the past week/month/year/lifetime and unpack it. We start by exploring the situation and the emotions behind it. Then we try to reframe the situation in a way that "sits better." Then lastly, give you a skill so you can deal with things outside of therapy. I focus on symptoms, not diagnoses or labels! We will focus on building skills, confidence, and learning to love yourself.
