What should a new client know about working with you?

Since being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, I have pursued my passion for supporting those who show resiliency and perseverance during difficult times in their lives. I believe in nurturing self-love, clarifying our individual set of values, and inspiring commitment towards making wholesome changes. Healing is the process of remembering the goodness within ourselves, connecting intimately to our inner world, and finding a new balance that restores our sense of integrity. Our time together will be focused on cultivating a more consistently positive self-image that is rooted in a strong sense of self-compassion and supported by secure relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My counseling approach begins with a strong focus on understanding the client’s background and presenting concerns. During the first three sessions, I prioritize gathering comprehensive information about the client’s history, current challenges, and overall context. This process allows for a collaborative exploration of the client’s experiences and helps identify the core issues to be addressed in therapy. Together, we develop clear, meaningful goals that guide the counseling process and ensure our work remains purposeful and client-centered. Following this initial phase, sessions focus on providing psychoeducation related to emotional regulation and building mindfulness skills and strategies to support emotional awareness and balance. I also emphasize identifying and resourcing each client’s unique strengths, fostering resilience, and building commitment toward desired changes. Throughout the process, I aim to create a supportive and collaborative environment that empowers clients to move toward greater self-understanding, well-being, and personal growth.
