Getting to know Jonathan Mauger

As a therapist specializing in supporting children, adolescents, and teens, my primary goal is to empower youth and families to work through adversities in their lives. When working with children and families, I utilize a person-centered approach to build a safe and collaborative relationship with youth and their caregivers. Through this partnership, I work with youth and their families to build skills and strategies that help navigate the interpersonal, developmental, and educational challenges they face. I firmly believe that families and youth are experts in themselves and their experiences. In therapy, I combine my knowledge of trauma and human development with the expertise of you and your child's lived experience. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, PCIT, and mindfulness, to find skills and interventions that work best for your family. I hold a Master's degree in Community and Trauma Counseling from Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the same institutions. I am currently under supervision to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. My specialties include treatment for children (5 years and older), adolescents, and young adults.
