Nobody is broken—but we all struggle with life’s challenges and can find ourselves feeling stuck, uncertain, or disconnected. Wherever you are in your life’s journey is the perfect place to begin. I believe healing isn’t about fixing what’s wrong with you; it’s about rediscovering your strengths, learning to make space for difficult emotions, and moving toward what truly matters. I work with individuals from adolescence through adulthood, helping people who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and other life stressors. My goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, develop new ways of responding to difficult experiences, and find greater peace and purpose in your life. I use evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients create meaningful change. ACT focuses on increasing psychological flexibility—learning how to experience thoughts and feelings without letting them control your actions, while aligning your behavior with your values. ART helps people process and heal from painful memories or trauma using eye movements in a way that is both gentle and efficient. Together, these therapies allow for healing that is both deep and practical. I know what it’s like to feel like you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck. My approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and collaboration. Wherever you find yourself—overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure—I’ll meet you there. My role is to walk beside you, help you uncover what’s holding you back, and support you in building a life that feels rich, fulfilling, and true to who you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you begin therapy with me, you can expect an environment that feels welcoming, nonjudgmental, and genuine. I believe that therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be yourself, and when we work together as partners in the process. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and down-to-earth. You won’t find me sitting silently behind a clipboard—I’m actively engaged, curious, and focused on understanding your unique experience. I strive to balance warmth with structure. You can expect me to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and help you uncover patterns or beliefs that might be keeping you stuck. At the same time, I’ll help you develop tools and strategies to move forward in practical, meaningful ways. I believe that humor, mindfulness, and self-compassion are powerful parts of healing, and I bring those elements into our work when appropriate. My approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). With ACT, we’ll work on developing flexibility around your thoughts and emotions—so you can make choices based on your values rather than fear or avoidance. With ART, we’ll process trauma and distressing memories safely and effectively, often leading to rapid relief and resolution. I primarily work with teens and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, relationship difficulties, or life transitions. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start therapy. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. Wherever you are, that’s a great place to start.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are all about understanding you. I want to know what brings you to therapy, what you’ve already tried, and what you’d like to accomplish. We’ll explore your current challenges and how they impact your daily life, but we’ll also look at your values, strengths, and the kind of life you want to build. My aim is to see the whole person—not just the problem. Once we’ve established your goals, I tailor our sessions using approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). With ACT, sessions often include mindfulness exercises, exploration of thought patterns, and work around identifying and living according to your values. With ART, sessions are more structured and focused on reprocessing distressing experiences through guided eye movements, helping you achieve relief from trauma or difficult memories. Each session is a mix of conversation, reflection, and skill-building. I’ll help you learn practical tools to handle difficult thoughts and emotions, communicate more effectively, and make choices that align with your goals. Between sessions, I often encourage reflection or gentle practice of techniques we discuss—small, manageable steps that help you apply what you learn in real life. Over time, therapy with me tends to feel like a balance between exploration and action. Some sessions may focus on understanding patterns and emotions more deeply, while others center around practicing new ways of responding to them. My goal is to ensure that our time together feels purposeful, supportive, and empowering—helping you move from feeling stuck to living a life that feels richer, freer, and more meaningful.
