What should a new client know about working with you?

As a Native New Yorker, I deeply resonate with you if you are a high achiever, overthinker, or perfectionist, yet still find yourself prioritizing others over yourself. You want to appear as if you have it together, but deep down, you are struggling with processing intergenerational trauma. You feel overwhelmed to tap into this discomfort. But you’re ready to be with it, to make a change that allows you to slow down, to feel, and to build your inner resources for generative connection. Most of all, you’re ready to embody the wisdom of your lineages and roots. I want to help you get there. I specialize in working with people of diverse backgrounds — high achievers, couples, adoptees, helping/teaching/healthcare/finance/tech professionals, college students, young adults, creatives, QTBIPOC, & immigrants — who have trauma and avoid tough emotions. Together, we will find your authentic voice through holistic, integrative, anti-oppressive practices, and EMDR, Gestalt, and somatic approaches.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I’ll meet you where you are on your unique journey and offer you the support you need to live and thrive abundantly. A life where you are connected to your body’s wisdom is possible. You don’t have to continue feeling disconnected, and you don’t have to do it alone. Reach out today for a free 15-minute video consult call. I would be honored to share this space with you and embark on this journey together.

  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

Jonathan is a great life coach, always lending a kind sympathetic ear and offering cogent insights.
Excellent experience! I felt listened to, supported and seen!
Working with Jonathan has helped me uncover new embodied levels of self-awareness. Jonathan is collaborative, supportive, curious, professional, non judgmental and super real with me in a gentle and generative way. I’m so grateful we’ve crossed paths and highly recommend working with Jonathan.
Johnthan is very respectful and professional and always understanding, I highly recommend him if you are looking for someone that really cares about you and always to help
Thorough, professional, expansive, thinks outside the box, and has a style of decolonized very real therapy that aides in a diversity of issues that have arisen.
Jonathan is an amazing provider, and has done an amazing job at hearing out a wide range of challenges and creating a safe and comfortable environment. Jonathan has helped me a develop a great foundation that I can use to continue to tackle life's difficulties for many years to come. Highly recommend to anyone looking for safe and effective counseling and support services!
Extensive and through. Very practically helpful with categories of death, relationships, reclamation of personal narrative sing a decolonial approach! Amazing
As a person who has struggled for a lifetime with feeling comfortable enough to be open with most people, if anyone at all; Jonathan helps makes that process (albeit still a work in progress on my end) far more seamless than I could have ever anticipated. Every session I have had, he has offered not only his undivided attention; but also the compassion & understanding of the human mind. We can be our own worst critics at times, or at all times; Jonathan hasn't ever had me feel any lesser of myself after stating anything within this context. He allows me to feel heard and seen, and even if his response isn't "what I wanted/expected to hear", it has given me the ability to process in a much different/ more positive light.
Jonathan is an incredibly skilled provider. He is knowledgeable, patient and kind. He weaves somatic practices and ancestral work beautifully with other more common psychological techniques (e.g., EMDR). He is curious and quite thoughtful. It truly feels like we’re on this journey together and I think anyone is very lucky to cross paths with him. The accessibility of the sliding scale option is also quite supportive.
Jonathan is a deeply compassionate and grounding therapist. From our very first session, I felt safe, supported, and truly heard. They’re incredibly intuitive and tailor each session to what I need—whether it’s somatic meditation, space to talk, or simply being present with what’s arising that day. Jonathan creates a non-judgmental, welcoming space that has truly become a safe haven in my life. Their sliding scale has also made therapy accessible for me as an artist! If you’re looking for someone who listens with care, adapts to your needs, and offers deeply healing support, I highly recommend Jonathan!
Jonathan is really kind, attentive, great listener, empathetic and a supportive therapist. I love their approach in decolonizing therapy and understanding ways immigration assimilation culture can affect one’s mental health especially in Asian communities. His genuine care for clients and approach has been really helpful in my own healing journey. Highly recommend!
Very soothing voice extremely professional!
Very soothing voice and very professional !
Jonathan has been empathetic, kind and understanding with my situation, even as I threw him into my first session full of complexities and contexts. I highly recommend Jonathan to anyone who is looking for a therapist skilled in navigating complex social dynamics while remaining clear-minded about goals.
