What should a new client know about working with you?

I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially for children and their families, so I strive to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. I work collaboratively with my clients, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and involved in their own healing process. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT, but I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every child and family. My goal is to empower clients to take an active role in their therapy, so they feel confident in managing their challenges both inside and outside of sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is client-centered, meaning that I focus on meeting clients where they are emotionally and working at a pace that feels comfortable to them. In the first few sessions, I spend time building trust and understanding the specific concerns of the child and family. Together, we set clear and achievable goals. Throughout therapy, I check in regularly to ensure that the strategies we are using feel helpful, and adjust as needed. Therapy is a partnership, and I am committed to working together with my clients every step of the way.
