Psychotherapist
OH
I welcome your interest and courage in seeking a therapist. Our work together will help you face and resolve your struggles. Often, we are not aware of what causes our difficulties, and that makes it hard to change. We will engage collaboratively to awaken your awareness so that you can better choose how you act and feel. I am a trained psychologist and clinical therapist. I enjoy helping teens face a range of concerns, from relationship difficulties to episodes of anxiety and depression. I work to create a warm and trusting environment where we can develop a shared understanding of your concerns and goals as we set to work. I completed my psychologist training at California State University, East Bay, earning a Master's in School Psychology. During my academic journey, I worked as a research professional at Stanford University Medicine and The Ohio State University, contributing to studies in healthcare. My experience at these institutions shaped my approach to holistic therapy. I believe in person-centered therapy, offering unique and tailored interventions to each individual. I have expertise in adolescent psychology and enjoy helping young people (ages 12+) navigate the challenges of academic life and emotional well-being. I have served as a school psychologist and college counselor at Capital University, West Valley College, and Santa Clara University. In my work with young people, my hope is to help them understand who they are, what they can do, and who they wish to be. We will navigate the complexities and triumphs of your life while improving your relationships. I have 18 years of care and experience and hold master's and specialist degrees in marriage and family therapy and clinical child-school psychology, along with a postgraduate certificate in health psychology and exercise science from Stanford University. Married 20+ years, a mom, an adoptee, and a Bay Area native, I appreciate life's adventures. Feel most welcome to contact me.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
