Hi there, I'm Jordyn! My name is Jordyn Morales, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from East Texas A&M University. I have predominantly worked with adults who have experienced complex trauma but have generally worked with a broad range of clients. My main priority is to provide a safe space to appropriately process what is bringing clients to session. **My approach** My main theoretical approaches consist of person-centered, trauma-informed, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and strengths-based. **My focus** I have met with clients diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and adjustment disorders based on various life circumstances. **My communication style** I provide a space where my clients feel heard and recognized as the ultimate experts of their own lives, beyond my credentials and encouragement. It is important for the individuals I work with to feel as if they are collaborating with me in sessions to meet their goals in the most essential ways. **My journey to mental healthcare** What attracted me to being a therapist was never feeling like the therapists I saw as a teenager fully understood how to help me. I wanted to understand why this was the case and also provide others the opportunity to feel heard in ways I did not. **My goals for you** I often ask clients what is bringing them to sessions and then work with them to establish mutually understood goals moving forward. Adjustments can be made throughout treatment. **My first session with you** I use this time to fully get to know my clients and understand what is bringing them to treatment at the time. I give them the opportunity to ask questions and ensure they feel confident moving forward.
