Jorge Rodriguez, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I believe therapy is more than symptom relief—it’s an opportunity to better understand yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that have shaped your life. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your story, reconnect with your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, identity exploration, men’s mental health concerns, and challenges related to self-esteem, purpose, and personal growth. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or searching for a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can help you move toward a life that feels more authentic and intentional. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual. I integrate Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed principles, and Jungian concepts such as archetypes, personal meaning, and shadow work alongside evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. Together, we’ll explore not only how to navigate current challenges but also how your experiences, beliefs, and inner world influence the way you live today. I believe lasting growth comes from developing self-awareness, self-compassion, and the courage to embrace all parts of yourself. My role is to walk alongside you as you discover new perspectives, cultivate resilience, and create a life that reflects your values and authentic self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first sessions are focused on understanding you—not just your symptoms, but your experiences, strengths, values, and what has brought you to therapy. I strive to create a space where you feel safe to be honest without fear of judgment. I view therapy as a collaborative process. Rather than telling you who you are or what you should do, we’ll work together to explore the patterns, beliefs, and different parts of yourself that influence your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. My approach is informed by Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Jungian psychology, and evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. Depending on your goals, our work may include developing practical coping strategies, exploring the meaning behind recurring patterns, or helping you reconnect with a stronger sense of purpose and authenticity. My hope is that you’ll leave each session with greater insight, practical tools, and a clearer understanding of yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every client’s journey is unique, so I tailor therapy to your individual goals and needs. During our first few sessions, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy, your personal history, your strengths, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll identify meaningful goals and develop a plan that feels realistic and aligned with your values. As therapy progresses, sessions may include exploring current challenges, identifying recurring patterns, understanding the different parts of yourself that emerge in difficult situations, and examining the personal stories and beliefs that shape your life. When appropriate, we’ll also develop practical skills to help manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, and other day-to-day challenges. I encourage open, collaborative conversations throughout the process. Therapy is not about having someone tell you what to do—it’s about creating a space where you can gain insight, build self-awareness, strengthen your resilience, and make choices that reflect the person you want to become.
