Hi, I’m Jose, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is deeply passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Florida International University in 2019 and became licensed in 2022. I have several years of experience in community mental health, working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as providing crisis intervention for individuals at high risk of psychiatric hospitalization. I also work with adults navigating work-related stress, financial strain, PTSD, and trauma connected to their careers. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions. I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to heal, grow, and create lasting positive change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives but may feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or unsure about where to begin. Many of the individuals I support are navigating stress, transitions, or challenges that have started to feel difficult to manage on their own. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, focused on meeting you where you are, helping you feel understood, and working together to identify realistic and achievable goals. I strive to support clients in building resilience, strengthening self-confidence, and developing healthier coping strategies that feel practical and sustainable. Whether you are seeking clarity, emotional support, or tools to navigate life more effectively, I aim to walk alongside you as you move toward growth and positive change at a pace that feels right for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, my goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. I enjoy getting to know my clients because we are all the main characters in the stories of our lives, and I look forward to learning more about yours. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore what you hope to gain from our work together, and begin identifying goals and a plan tailored to your needs. My hope is that you leave the session feeling heard, supported, and encouraged about the journey ahead.
