Getting to know Jose Diaz

Having a place where you can recenter, reconnect, be heard and understood opens the door to change. My intention is to create a safe space where you can come as you are and move toward your desires. With me, there is no rush. Together, we will slow down and practice the art of listening to our whole self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with individuals throughout the life span. Much of my training an experience has been working with children utilizing therapeutic play interventions to help them process events for which words and concepts are hard to express. Adolescents are some of my favorite clients because of their spunk and energy. While adults bring the full scope of mental engagement and greater access to make change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I approach treatment through a trauma informed lens, recognizing the connection between our mind and body. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a model from which much of my work flows, with the intention helping the body to release pain and move individuals towards awareness of the power they posses.

Our billing office will submit claims for individuals utilizing BCBS PPO policies. For all other clients, you will be provided a "superbill" which will contain all the information required for you to submit for reimbursements from your policy. Our billing team is available to address any questions you may have. Sliding scale fees may be available for families unable to afford the full fees.
