Getting to know Joseph Parente
Mr. Parente has over twenty-five years of extensive experience working with youth in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings. He has worked at Bradley Hospital, Kent County Community Mental Health Center (Reunification Program), and the Pawtucket Police Domestic Response Team. He has experience with addictions and served as a supervisor of substance abuse counselors at Edgehill of Newport. Additionally, Joe was the clinical director of Turning Point and a clinical consultant at Whitmarsh, a residential facility for adolescents.
He is a graduate of Rhode Island College, where he earned both his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Social Work. He has also served as an Adjunct Clinical Field Instructor for the School of Social Work at the same institution.
Joe is an avid fitness buff who enjoys cycling, lifting weights, and skiing.
