What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, conversational, and direct. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback with compassion. We will work together to understand what brings you to therapy and identify goals that feel meaningful to you. You do not need to prepare a speech or know exactly where to begin. During our first visit, we will discuss your concerns, what you hope to change, and what support would be most helpful. As we continue, we will combine reflection with practical strategies you can use in everyday life. There is room for difficult feelings, uncertainty, and humor, and we will move at a pace that allows both trust and growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session focuses on getting to know you—your concerns, relevant history, strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we will identify priorities and establish goals that can evolve as your needs change. A typical session begins with a check-in about how you have been feeling and what has happened since we last met. We then focus on what matters most that day, exploring patterns, processing emotions, and practicing strategies that support your goals. We may discuss something to reflect on or try between visits. Throughout our work, I welcome your feedback so that therapy remains useful and responsive to you.
