“Therapy with Josh has been invaluable to my mental health & self-esteem. I first met Josh at one my lowest points after years of putting off therapy due to a short stint with a therapist that did not fit. I was fortunate that Josh was a great fit from the start, but that credit goes entirely to him as he questioned what did not work in my past therapy & what he could do to make our time effective. At the start, Josh led with many questions from current happenings to childhood experiences & family structure. I never felt inundated with questions, but rather he took a measured approach to breaking down why I feel how I feel about myself & others & why I react how I react. Our sessions have been entirely online, but they are still very personal. He takes great notes about what we've discussed & will often bring in quotes/readings that he felt I could relate to & reflect on. Lastly, I am a woman & I think it can be beneficial to work with someone of the opposite gender.”

Getting to know Joshua Rose

I’m a therapist who works with people who seem to have it all together — often successful, reliable, maybe even the one everyone turns to — but inside, they feel unseen, overwhelmed, or disconnected. They give endlessly, but their own needs go unmet. My clients often struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, or repeating unhealthy relationship patterns. Deep down, they long to feel more grounded, confident, and understood. They want to set healthier boundaries, break free from what’s keeping them stuck, and live as the person they know they can be. With the holiday season quickly approaching, it can be a time that brings both joy and stress—family dynamics, busier schedules, or old patterns resurfacing. Therapy offers space to process and move through this time with more ease and clarity.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is compassionate and nonjudgmental. I walk alongside my clients — listening deeply, reflecting what I see, and gently challenging when it helps them grow. Together, we uncover patterns, set boundaries, and build relationships (including with themselves) that feel safe and fulfilling.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first step is always connection. In our initial intake session, I want you to get a real sense of me and my style, and for us to determine if we’re a good fit to work together. Therapy is most effective when you feel safe, understood, and supported, so I’ll take time to answer questions, hear your story, and ensure you feel comfortable moving forward. From there, we’ll begin clarifying your goals for therapy — what brought you here, what you’d like to shift, and what a meaningful outcome looks like for you. Some clients come in with clear goals, while others simply know something feels “off” or overwhelming. Either way, I’ll help you articulate what you want from our time together, knowing those goals may evolve as you grow. Once we begin regular sessions, we’ll create space to explore both the challenges you’re facing now and the deeper patterns that may be shaping them. Our work might include unpacking old wounds or traumas, exploring self-sabotage, addressing feelings of unworthiness, or noticing the ways you show up in relationships. My role is to listen deeply, reflect what I see, and gently challenge you to look at things in new ways — always with compassion and respect. Together, we’ll uncover what’s been keeping you stuck and begin building the tools and awareness you need to move forward. This might mean learning how to set healthier boundaries, finding your voice in relationships, developing self-compassion, or creating habits that support your well-being. Over time, therapy often becomes a process of not just “working on problems” but reconnecting to yourself in a deeper, more meaningful way. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you — there is no one-size-fits-all. Some clients appreciate structure and practical strategies, while others need more open-ended exploration. My goal is for you to feel grounded, confident, and fully yourself. Therapy is a journey, and I’ll support you every step of the way.

Mr. Rose was such an incredible help in my life. I don’t know where I would be without him. That sounds cliche, but it couldn’t be more accurate. It felt like I had someone who was really looking out for me and would do anything he could to support me. He had some great ideas for how to handle situations that I had no idea how to get out of. So grateful for him.
My therapeutic journey with Josh has been nothing short of transformative. His professionalism, non-judgmental demeanor, meticulous attention to administrative details, flexibility in scheduling, and insightful feedback have collectively shaped an environment conducive to personal growth and self-discovery. I am grateful for the unwavering support he has provided and look forward to continuing this journey towards self-improvement with him by my side.
From day one, Josh was someone I could relate to and he helped me through and continues to help me through all facets of my life. He's a great listener and gives feedback that is always impactful. I would highly recommend him if you are seeking someone to help you develop stronger mental health. He's my brain's personal trainer and I don't think I would be in the better place I am today without his help.
Josh has been highly professional. Josh is flexible with scheduling, honest, trustworthy, warm, interested, and open- all characteristics of an exceptional therapist.
